Nina Be (MA, MEd, E-RYT 500, NCC) is a Yoga Therapist, writer, and mother of 2 thriving, liberated daughters who believes that living ones life gets to be an act of grace! Such curiosity has led her into many adventures; producing qUest interdisciplinary artworks, creating MindBody Centering Yoga for empowering individuals, families and groups with loving kindness practices, founding non-profit LiveGlobally for quelling suffering by building community bridges globally and locally, as well as being a co-founder of the award winning Global Breath Yoga Studio in Durham NC and financing and running L'Economie Bistro in New Orleans,( featured on Martha Stewart, Southern Decor and as a top 100 restaurants by Forbes),
Nina has professional credentials in yoga, somatic psychology, energy psychology, applied mindfulness & spiritual activism, reiki and creative empowerment education, as an intuitive healer, performer, poet, choreographer and designer of wellness programs, internationally for over 40 years.
She is the Director of MindBody Centering Yoga established to transform trauma into empowerment and grace for all. MindBody Centering Yoga was inspired during her work in NYC in the mid-70s to support schoolchildren in the harlem projects and to help Broadway performers and professional athletes to meet their goals, because they felt their bodies were not attuned to their minds and vice versa. The results were automatic and powerful!
MindBody Centering Yoga is now taught all over world as a gentle and clear way to help anyone get better results with support for ones heart felt intentions. Whether it be to heal chronic lower back pain, recover from an injury, heal grief, release toxic or abusive relationships or arrest a crazy over-working mind, this form of yoga has helped thousands of people to feel much better!
A typical MBCY class begins with resting on the ground in order to gather the mind and body into the present moment. We then move to breathing techniques to balance and energize. After some gentle stretching we can flow into sun salutations, with offerings of multi-leveled modifications for postures. The class ends with a loving guided bodymind meditation, some more breathing together and an inspirational quote to begin the day. These healing classes are always open to all levels of capacity.
PRIVATE YOGA & MINDFULNESS SESSIONS
As a Yoga Therapist, Nina Be (MA, MEd, E-RYT 500, NCC) offers MindBody Centering Yoga techniques to individuals suffering from physical, mental, emotional and energetic blocks. Her guided body meditations include using a variety of breathing, relaxation, strengthening and meditation techniques, the goal is to empower anyone to be able to strengthen what needs to be enlivened and release tension where holding on is no longer necessary. Sessions always include a bit of homework so as to cultivate real long lasting change .
She is the founder of Live Globally (501c-3), quelling children’s global poverty through the practices of compassion in community. In order to satisfy her passionate curiosity, Nina has traveled to 38 of the 50 United States and 19 countries. She plans on experiencing it all!
Her successful RYT 200/300/500-hour Yoga Alliance Certification Programs and MindBody Centering Yoga, specializing in trauma-sensitive techniques, are offered several times a year .
