During this module we will examine the elements of love and relationships. What does it mean to love? How can we love without possessing? How do we restore our presence? How do we offer our presence to others? How are we in relationship with everything and everyone?
Yoga therapist, nina be (MA. M.ED. E-RYT500) will guide discussions and practices that have affected deep healing in thousands of her students and clients, such as : evaluation & healing, applied mindfulness, positive psychology & compassionate Self regard to translate limited views of diagnosing, self-concept & beliefs into positive, proactive potential. We will apply researched methodologies, such as embodied asana & movement, energizing & calming breathing techniques, neurological, developmental and psychosomatic sciences, deep listening presence, loving kindness & mindfulness and learn simple ways to discuss mental health using inspiration as motivation instead of illness & pathology.
What to Expect::
Topics covered in this module are concerned with basic self care principals and how they connect to the essence of who we are. We will define the 5 areas of thriving, create measurements that depict areas of self neglect and share simple thoughts & behaviors that easily shift us from dis-ease to more easy. None of this is easy, or else it would have already been taken care of, and in community we get to practice changing our dialogue that may have been created by family patterns or cultural 'norms'. The crucial practice of 'finding quiet' in order to be able to listen deeply for negative narrative helps us re-focus on present moment resources that always exist. This module offers a long moment to learn ways to identify our tendencies in order to develop methods for enhancing self care.
