Musician & Sound Healing Practitioner Isabel Castellvi has led sound healing workshops ranging from mantra practice, chanting, toning and vocalizations, breath work, meditation, visualizations, Chakra work and movement that focuses on the somatic experience of vibration as a healing tool for connecting mind, body, spirit and heart.  Isabel is inspired by nada yoga, yoga, Qi Gong, somatic body work, the Sufi mystics connection and devotion to sound, her studies of classical Indian music,  years of musical practice and performance, quantum physics, meditation and deep listening.  

What to expect:

We will be using the body, breath and voice as a vibrating resonant instrument. Deepening the connection of breath, movement, sound and rhythmic entrainment. We will look at the principles of harmony through the physics of sound and vibration and how this corresponds to us as feeling, thinking, expressive, communicating, resonant beings. This workshop aims to give participants deeper insight into listening both to sound and energy in the body.  We will explore tools for finding a sense of well being, harmony and balance in our lives and environments as yoga teachers, healers and practitioners.  

What we will cover:

  • Experientially explore concepts of sound and vibration for healing and transformation

  • How entrainment works with patterns of consciousness - deeper look at rhythm and cycles in the body and nature

  • Use the voice to create vibrations in the body - guided humming, toning and some singing (no musical experience required)

  • Connect the senses - explore sounding with visualizations, yoga and movement for integration and healing

  • Learn about and experience the effects of toning on the breath, brain, nervous system, and glands (pineal, pituitary, endocrine, adrenal)

  • Various meanings and toning practices of Om

  • A deeper look into the power of mantra - shifting our vibration through repetition

  • We will learn and chant various mantras and songs

  • Use our voices as expressive communicators

  • Connecting the body with our intention, thoughts, and feelings through speech
