Foundations of Asana is designed to help anyone understand the basic powerful principles of Yoga, including breathing practices, Asana postures, anatomy, undistracted focusing, and meditation. Each class will cover a particular aspect of movement (for example forward bending), and examine the core benefits and techniques for execution in an intelligent, personalized manner. A student will learn some foundational sun salutations, and practices to do at home so they can deepen their understanding of how and why we practice yoga. Nina Be (ERYT500) teaches this class. Often there will be other teachers in the room as well, allowing space for each individuals needs, with personalized guidance. Open to all levels.
