Trauma is the result of disconnection...disconnection from ourselves. Our Selves are our body, mind, breath and heart. Our bodies 'feel' what is happening, our minds house the 'beliefs' that tell us what is happening and our hearts are resonating our True Nature which is love and empathy.
During our time together, we will practice stopping in order to:
- feel into our bodies with movement that is respectful and enhances our capacity to nourish our health
- breathe in order to regulate being present in the now
- meditate in order to listen to our minds beliefs and shift what is toxic.
After some discussion of what we notice, there is a short lesson on practical approaches to guiding our lives from the strength of loving kindness, away from good and bad, in order to stand on the ground of deep purpose from our hearts.
There will be time for active journaling exercises, observations and then a practical homework assignment for everyone to explore small and powerful shifts in the body, mind and heart.
